Orange Cranberry Sauce

Orange Cranberry Sauce
Serves 6 (Service size 1 cup)
  • 1 lb fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2cup maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest from one orange (optional)
  1. Combine ingredients (except zest) in a small pot and place over medium heat.
  2. When the mixture begins to boil, cover, and reduce heat. Cook for 10 mins until sauce thickens. Berries may pop.
  3. Remove lid and simmer berries to thicken the sauce more. Frozen berries may take longer.
  4. Remove from heat and cool sauce in a serving dish.
  5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  6. Garnish with  orange zest and enjoy!
